This is a beautiful poem connecting the ancient Samhain to modern Halloween! As someone learning about paganism, it means a lot to see the holidays talked about.
I enjoyed this so much! As someone who loves the moon, I absolutely love the way you compared human beings to the moon! You did an amazing job on this poem!

Hi Amelia, great poem! I especially love the lines "creating stories, out of lines, created with my own two hands" It gives the feeling of the idea of art being tangible, instead of the finished project, which is really cool to me. The idea that a dream can be taken by a machine is scary and I feel that this poem sends that message very well. You end on a very strong last line "pretending it can be a human." Oftentimes times when we think about AI we think of robots taking over jobs but we don't relate it to imitating humans and that idea is scary but true. very nice work on this poem, keep it up!
I read this book too. I really like when books teach me something while still being entertaining, and this novel taught me a lot about Indigenous American culture and kept me intrigued the whole time.
My favorite technique in poetry is rhyming, metaphors, and similes!
Thank you! I love paganism, and wanted to share some information of Samhain & the origins of Halloween! :)
