Am I young?
Well yes, I am still young
You can call me a kid, but I will never again be
The toddler I was, smiling at joyous things
That I no longer enjoy now that I'm older,
And I like older kid things.

Told You
Hell yeah I told you
Why didn't you believe me?
I knew that it would end like this
But you said 'wait just trust me'
I want to say I told you
But Im starting to believe
That maybe you were right

Not Sorry
I'm not sorry
Not sorry at all
I don't have regrets
You know what they say
Beter to love and lose than not love at all
but i kind of disagree
because to love is to gamble
You’re destined to pay

One, Two, Three
One, two, three,
All eyes on me-ee-ee
Haunted by me-mor-ies
of love that's now gone
But I don't think I'll miss it, no
I wouldn't even kiss you if you showed
Haunted by shadows of the past

receive a simple piece of paper

Last Day of School
I wrote this poem about a month ago, and I recited it at Fifth Grade Night on Wednesday, June 12, and just this morning at my graduation.

The Paper Sailboat
Regret has many meanings, and this time I feel it strong
For "love" can be the right word, and yet so very wrong.
I've kept all boats tethered, left none to sail away

The Genie
If you had a genie in a bottle
and it told you that you could make any 3 wishes
You would not wish for gold
you would not wish for riches
you would not wish for fame.
You would wish for wars to end

summer ramblings
the horizon blurs into a mess of golden dots
half-glowing in the early sunset, and
the shoreline into greenish brown, swaying
slightly and I can't tell if it's the long grass in the breeze or the angle I'm at
