"pupils like sinking ships" the imagery in this is astonishing. I agree with with Anna. And it's a myth with an extraordinary about integrity because of how elusive it feels!
I'll check it out when I'm not on my school computer (it's "restricted"). I know this is a writing platform but I appreciate the music references too - I'm a huge music-lover and musician. If anyone want to discuss song recommendations/artists, I'd be open to expanding!! I like AJR, Shawn Mendes, and Kayko.
I'm not a freshman yet, but I try to expand genres. Dystopian, fantasy, realistic fiction - write about stuff you don't usually write about! Entering contests is also a great idea - and YWP helps a ton as well. You can also look back on some of your older books that you gave up on and revise them if you're looking for ideas. Other than that, I agree that submitting to a school magazine or newspaper is a great idea. Good luck!
Two different canopies! Lovely!

"A rich bread, baked in the desert centuries ago, flavored with milk and honey." this made me feel all warm inside.
I love how this poem challages cliches. "I want to breath/ BOTH with looming skyscrapers and mountains stretched high." Beautifully done!
"Like a river in a dessert/ Like unity in loss" ugh, what a gorgeous pairing of lines.
What an interesting take, thanks for the comment!
Good to know! The one bad thing so far is that I can't put one down once I started.

Yay! I'd be open to reading it as well. Sounds cool!
