Definitely ELA, because I love reading and writing and I like my teacher!
MATH, because it makes NO sense - what the heck is linear algebra?? Am I crazy??
Probably ELA all-around all the time, but maybe Science (we're doing a unit on astronomy and it's supercool)
I'm in seventh grade
YUCK. I mean, pizza day is good, but most other days...the mystery meat is scary!
I LOVE Band. I play in the Wind Ensemble and I've made a few new friends in the grade above me, plus it's really cool to play alongside other musicians. I play the flute, and I love our Wind Ensemble because it combines seventh and eighth grade, so I'm learning a lot from the more experienced players by even just sitting next to them sometimes, plus we sound pretty cool. I'm also in the co-curricular Stage Band, and I'm going to audition for the Districts festival in a few weeks (wish me luck)!
I know exactly what you mean about pen allowing you to own your mistakes. I'm the same way, and even like the thought of making a record of those mistakes to look back on! Graphite pencils seem to have no longevity or permanence to them, a sentiment you captured well in your words.
What a joyous phrase! I'll have to remember this next time I see a cloudy sky with even just a sliver (or next time I'm feeling pessimistic, in general). Thank you for sharing your Oma's words with us!
I LOVE your metaphor about the leaves!! So so good!
Thank you!!!
.
The good times will come again, I promise.
I love the ending of the poem. It closes the vibe so perfectly!

I've never thought about life from the eyes of a mouse, and what a mouse symbolizes, until today. Interesting subject!

Yes they are!
