I love that series so much! I actually read the third one first because I didn't know which one was the first, but they're all great and the plot isn't unreachable if you accidentally do what I did.
Honestly, it might be Anne's House of Dreams by L.M Montgomery for me. It's part of the Anne of Green Gables series and is probably the most heartwarming one to me.
I know it's the 24th today, but how about a poem written from the POV of another planet, talking about how strange yet beautiful our planet is and\or why humans are slowly destroying it. (Sorry that's a little dark.)
I really like Nora Ephron's hilarious collection of essays turned into a memoir - it's called I Feel Bad About My Neck (and other thoughts about being a woman) and is probably one of the funniest books I've ever read.

Crumbs (graphic novel) is a magic-filled romantic book that's funny and surprising. I really like it!
