I want love to feel 

like driving into the sunset in a 90's movie

in an old red convertible

classic rock playing us out.

Sometimes

I look at the stars

And hope

That somewhere

In another universe

We all got our happy endings.

I wish a lie was just another funny truth,

But it’s not,

The chains that tied it to the floor,

Left nothing but cankered knots,

And when the sailors hauled her up the side of the dock,

Something I seem to always think back to, is what happens after you die. I used to get trapped in this thought and it was my biggest fear all throughout my childhood. 

In a tranquil future world, a soul was reincarnated as a cat named Luna. She lived in a peaceful town with a loving family who pampered her with treats and affection.

The sun, I think is like a friend that you have lost

One that you've drifted so far from, that it is impossible to return

Yet still its light shines on you, so blinding you must look away.
