Lie

I wish a lie was just another funny truth,

But it’s not,

The chains that tied it to the floor,

Left nothing but cankered knots,

And when the sailors hauled her up the side of the dock,

They found something that only vile could mock,

They bore a cry that wailed a thousand deviled shivers across,

A wave that started up so small became a chorus of foul applause,

The masterpiece of deception had not only a life,

But took on more and more as miles it had grown from its hive,

So there they lay on the shore waiting to hear,

The things that ruin them they once thought were dear.

  • Swings

I remember being younger when the playground was in bloom,

You told me that I had a choice to use just one; But whom?

The slide was overcrowded and I could never get a ride,

  • An Envy Detour

    May this envy be contagious?

These naughts of mine that always rise come as dreams in cages?

I might recon that is so,

Yesterday as I sat down it started then to snow.

  • Decisions

    Four corners set each way,
And I still sit in the box.
    The left could sin me,
    Right could win me,
    Front or back could block.
I could become a famous tool,
    Or infamously triumph,
