I would love to listen to Skin and Bones by Morgan St Jean for the first time again. the first time kind of had this magicness to it and even though I still love the song the first time was really something.
Hi! I’m also a freshman, and have been trying to do the same thing.
One thing you could do would be to submit pieces to your school’s school magazine (assuming your school has one). Another thing would be to submit stuff to, like, contests and stuff, which is what I’ve been doing. It’s not a guarantee that anything’ll get published, because you’re vying for the spot amongst a bunch of other people, but it’s certainly a place to start. If any of this is helpful, or if you need any other ideas, feel free to let me know. :)
I would love to listen to West Coast by Lana Del Rey for the first time again. The chorus feels very original and evokes so many specific images and stories. Whenever I listen to it I'm always waiting for the chorus. I would enjoy being surprised by that part of the song again instead of anticipating it.
I feel the same way about winter! It's so nostalgic to me! I love spending time with family and making memories! I love decorating the Christmas Tree and trying to outdo my neighbors with a bit of friendly competition using our front yard Christmas Lights. I love waking up on Christmas Day and seeing all the magic and tradition around the holiday! The movies, the drinks, the decorations, basically everything! It's the kinda thing that literally "warms my heart," every time! But when the new year comes, I'm excited for a new year, new memories, and new experiences, but at the same time, I'm also quite unsure of the future.
My eyes don't know what to focus on first, there's so much to take in! But all of it, beautiful and otherworldly. I also really appreciate your description of your work to help us better understand it.

Hi, I just wanna say this is not anything that I have experienced and no one I know has experienced. It is completely imaginary. Thanks! :)
That's exactly how I feel when I write poetry.
thank you so much for your suggestion is greatly appreciated :) Do you have any particular contests you like entering?

I totally agree. I pretty much use poetry as a way to write without rules, and I think my feelings come through best when I don't edit them.
Thank you so much
