Ah thank you so much! I’m trying to self publish my poetry book and hearing this helps a lot, as I was worried about if it needed a theme!

I think that's alright!! Poetry is wild and unpredictable, and if your publisher can't realize that, they're not right for publishing poetry. Lots of poetry books either don't have a theme, or have a very loose one that doesn't connect to all of the poems. Good luck!

Wow, so atmospheric and beautiful! I could feel the allure of the ocean calling out my name. Your use of repetition and personification really add to the piece.

This describes that spark of creativity, and the necessity of nurturing it, so accurately! The entire poem in itself has a nurturing quality, especially as you begin to compare an idea to a flower bulb.

I love The House in the Cerulean Sea! I haven't read any other of Klune's books but we read that one for school and it was amazing!
