I am so, so sorry to hear this. Dementia is horrible, and I know it must hurt a lot. But, I love how heartfelt your poem was and I love all the emotion you put into it.
Oooh that sounds like a great book! My break just ended as well and I am saving the book I started over break (a crazy good fantasy called Witch King) for in-bed reading.
I actually started a few new books over break, one of them being To Shape A Dragon's Breath. So far it seems pretty good, though I might have to stop reading it for a bit to get back into the rhythm of school (my break just ended).
Thank you so much! I'm glad it carries a bit of the same raw emotion that I felt when taking this (kinda impressed with myself honestly), and makes a good impact :)
This is freaking amazing!! I love how you used the lines and how you spaced the words to add emotion to the story, and the last line caught me off guard, leaving me grinning and wishing for more. I am forever going to think about the winding pathways of memory like this.

I hope you know how much this means to me! I'm so glad it had a lasting impact on you, it's the kind of thing I hope for as a writer <3
Thank you so much!! It's always so helpful and really validating to see when someone gets what I was trying to say, and enjoys it <3
