This resonates with me so much! I also really loved this poem's "flow/rhythm"!

Futuristic, dark, morbid books? Totally part of my jam. If you're looking for a lean toward fantasy in that sub-genre, definitely try Seanan McGuire's portal fantasy series Wayward Children!!

YES someone else found this wonderful series! Did you read all four of them? I literally only just found out that there were more than two.

This is amazing. I saw one of these photos on the gallery, and it looked incredible, so I clicked on it to Love it. But when I went into the pictures, I realized that I already had! Amazing work,

Shatter Me maybe? Or maybe House of the Scorpion. Those two definitely have gotten me out of some reading slumps.

The simplicity of this poem is so beautiful, and it makes it not simple at all.  I love it!

  • Insignificant Events of the Life of a Cactus about a girl with no arms (already mentioned but it's amazing)
  • Out of my mind about a girl with Cerebral Palsy
  • Forget me not about a girl with tourette's syndrome
  • Wonder about a kid with facial differences
  • Just Roll With It which was also mentioned but about a girl with Cerebral Palsy
  • My Life in the Fish Tank about a girl with an autistic brother
  • Rules is also about a girl with an autistic brother

And more! These are all middle grade, (I am yet to find any YA books in this sub-genre) but all really good!

I love the format of this poem, and how it gives so much more emphasis on your points and your words. :)
