Physical Emotional Baggage

Imagine if emotional baggage looked physical. Some of the happiest looking people might be weighed down with duffel bags, and someone with only a single but heavy briefcase might be told they have it easiest, so why are they complaining?

Some people might be carrying spiky bags that cut into their hands. One might think, why are they still holding on, if it only hurts them? But the spikes are what make the bag hard to let go.

Still others might carry a loved one's baggage for them, even to the point where it weighs them down too much.

Some might share the contents of the bag with someone else, which somehow makes both of their loads lighter.

People might tuck themselves into the bags so they don’t have to carry them          anymore.

Some people shift the weight from hand to hand, trying to balance it out, sometimes letting someone else hold it for a short time.

Everyone holds their bag differently. How do you hold yours?
