Snow day
There is a special magic to waking up to silence.
No snow plows rumbling down the street spraying salt in every direction.
No parents yelling at you to wake up,
Because it’s a snow day,
And I get to sleep in.

I just stare out the car window
i just stare out the car window
let the breeze tangle my short brown hair
inhale that ocean wind
it means i'm seeing my friend again
who knows me like no one else
rolls her eyes at my boy troubles

I’m afraid
I’m afraid that I’ll lose my friends,
And I don’t mean that in a literal way,
More like my voice fades into the background,
My best friend no longer calls me bestie.
I’m afraid I’m not interesting anymore,

Brownie girl
I made brownies and carefully placed choco chips on the top,
I carved your name in the raw top,
maybe I can grant your wish and be yours,
perhaps I can wish you over with sweets.

Your fault
I’m not old enough to vote
I'm not old enough to drive
I’m not old enough to drink
I’m not even old enough to go to the bathroom without asking permission??

Vent
She fears men. She fears what they’re capable of, what they can get away with, their strength and their power. The ironic thing is that her greatest desire and wish is for validation, to be liked. Specifically by men.

Philosophies In Third Person
She began to realize that thinking thoughts in your head was fairly different than writing them down.
