Fall has finally returned 

From a

Trip. 

She arrives at our doors, 

It’s been so long

Since I’ve seen your face

That I’m starting to forget

The color of your eyes

And the way you smile

But I’ll always remember

The way you cared

The leaves fall

I spent fall with you

And fell into your frigid winter embrace

We went trick-or-treating in the dark

And we took walks in the park

But in the end

You were colder than winter

I wanted to be yours,

I wanted to feel you close. 

I didn't just want to be friends,

I wanted to be wrapped up in your clothes.
