Time Does Not Stop for Beauty

It's here, prepared or not –

A single flower.

Dozens of breathtaking, intricate pink-orange petals reach for the sun.

Newly bloomed, plump seeds, crisp leaves, overflowing with rich chlorophyll

A diamond in the ruff, devouring attention, a beauty beyond compare.

It is young, yet it has visitors,

Fuzzy bumblebees and graceful cultivated butterflies.

Oh, but it now has seen enough moons

Everything, however beautiful, must end.

And now – the time has come.

A POEM BY MY SISTER <3:

    dew drips from a leaf

a leaf that a little caterpillar walks on

    it will soon be transformed

    into a majestic pollinator

its climbs to a branch on a small tree
