Revenge is bittersweet 

A cozy sword in my heart

I'm over that disaster

Yet we're not apart 

A creature in the corner 

Encroaching in my space 

I've held many creatures 

Void of life

But it's never as hard 

As when it's your own

No pulse, no

Breathing 

Just an empty 

Shell that once was

They say with distain 

Usually followed by a suggestion on how to change myself
