I was the same way in high school, and I suppose I still am when it comes to "perfecting" certain areas of my life. It's hard to come to terms with being "just okay" when you have such faith in yourself that you can achieve true perfection. But it doesn't exist. And that faith that you can do better is what will keep you going! Give yourself grace for that C, because you're no lesser for it (especially if you gave it your all), but also don't lose that drive to reach greater heights, either! It's hard to find, but that balance exists.
Blown away by the strength of your rhyme, and every single example given. If there were such a thing as a literary dictionary with a poem to define and describe every word, there would be no better piece to represent the true meaning of gratitude.
"I am grateful not for family // but for the dinner table laughter // loud and quiet // when you can float on it // reach out and touch it." What a lovely thought, and your words bring to life your emotion. It's so true when they say, "It's the little things in life." This is a beautiful list of silver linings, and it made me smile.
Those people read a lot, and when they find a word they don’t know they look it up! I’ve found reading good books that challenge you is the best way to learn to write.
The droplets are so clearly defined and even across the entirety of the shot. Cool effect. They almost look like molten metal!
