Can't Take That Away is one of my absolute favorite comfort books. It's both sad and uplifting, and I absolutely love it.

One day, in my creative writing block, the teacher said "we're doing poetry today" and we were assigned to post a poem to Young Writers Project. This was the poem I posted.

@Dippy_Cat, I love this so much! I love how even though there are only a few words in each line that you can convey such a moving and powerful message!

Honestly, I always go to Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Heroes of Olympus, or Trials of Apollo. They make me laugh, and they’re always great to reread. They’re both humorous and wholesome, and you can always find seriously unhinged moments in there that’ll make your day.

The Thing About Jellyfish by Ali Benjamin, it is so oddly comforting, even with the hard plot (the book is about loss and grief)

I love all the references in this poem, and how you're waiting behind the curtain!

Thanks. I appreciate the support.

I struggle sometimes with nonverbality, and that was the inspiration for this poem. It was my way of communicating when I couldn’t speak.
