Who am I
What do I believe is true
Who am I
When I see the truth
What do I believe
In this ordinary life
Where the people are greedy
And they all seem to lie
Where in the world
Can I mend a broken heart
And have it fixed
With this emotional art
The sea’s coming in
And the clouds start to form
The people are running to escape from the storm
And the sounds of laughter
Echo in your walls
Do you still remember me
Who am I after all
Oh but
Where in the world
Can I mend a broken heart
And have it fixed
With this emotional art
And the sounds of laughter
Echo in your walls
Do you still remember me
Who am I after all
And I don’t care
Cause I don’t wanna fall
And the life I lived
Will soon hit the wall
And all the guilt
That always lines my brain
Will soon disappear
Running after the game

Wow, I could imagine hearing this on the radio if put to music. In fact, it feels meant to be put to music! Your words are incredibly lyrical: simple, short lines that hold so much meaning, and can be interpreted however the reader wishes (through the lens of their own life, and easily so). Your repeated stanzas are a perfect catchy, melancholic refrain.
Hey! This is a beautiful song! I love It!
Thank you
