Summer is delirious days
we are packed
on a bus
for days of adventures
mountain biking
then swimming.
We will jump off cliffs
into rivers
flip-flopping through the air
show offs
and adrenalin seekers.
We will climb
to the top of mountains
on our bikes
and look out
at the skylines
far
far
away
it will mean different things
to all of us.
When the rain comes
which is inevitable
we will huddle in the school bus
back to the beginning
wrapped in our parkas
and wait out
the storm
together.
We will find our purpose
in some version
of events
that happen
over this camp
most likely
we will not realize
that we have figured out
a reason to live
but someday
we will look back
and see
that these were the days
when we found
who we wanted to be.

Oh my gosh, I didn't even realize this was in response to the Five challenge at first. This vocabulary fits in flawlessly, not forced at all! This is exactly how I remember my days at summer camp, too: filled with purpose, though I didn't realize it at the time.
Thank you! I feel like we learn so much when we're not trying to at all.
