Ode to strangers
I miss the small indescribable moments I used to share with strangers.
The warm smile from an elderly woman walking down the street, -
The world before Covid-19
I lay awake last night dreaming. -
100 years from now
In 100 years, when my future children have children, I hope that they can grow up in a world that is kinder than this one. -
Adventure
Do you want to go on an adventure?
To a place where time stops, where there’s nothing but you and me
And the endless open sky.
We could hike up a mountain and watch the sunrise, we could fall asleep, -
Mismatched clothes of childhood
The mismatched clothes of childhood;
Too filled with excitement to think about what to wear.
Even when mom told me to change
I couldn’t be bothered to care.
As long as it was magenta it was just perfect, -
Home
I don't know when I will meet you, and I don't know where;
but if I close my eyes, and let the world around me go soft, I can almost feel it.
It won't be carefully calculated, rational, or even reasonable.
I won't be able to justify it.
