The potion I would make

 would be a soft pink. 

It would smell like cherries. 

 This potion will be made for love.

 It would be made

 with a little bit of sugar, 

If I made a potion
I would make a potion that would allow me to stop time.
I think the ingredients would be a clock, of course,
some water because it’s a potion,
you need water in a potion!

And maybe a frog,

The noises around me 

are sometimes loud

 and sometimes quiet.

 When it's quiet 

I can hear the clicking of keys

 on computers when

 fingers press them down.

No matter,
Our differences.
Our Skin.
Our Clothes.
Our Hair.
Our Home.
Our Beliefs.
Our Religions.
We can put aside all-
Of our differences
And come together 
As one.

We can have trust in one another.

Amanda Gorman has been the light throughout this dark time. And so has everybody else. You can be a light for someone else. You can inspire someone to keep on going and trying. All you have to do is try. You may not know it but, she has.

There is a light that is hidden
by Darkness 
violence,
hate,
anger,
sadness, 
and differences.
The light is hidden deep underground
with times of violence and hate,
it goes further away
