Missing you (an ode to California)
Sometimes I find myself
California Dreamin’.
I wish I would stop
because
it doesn’t do me any good to dwell on the past. -
February
In February,
Winter and Spring are like awkward dancers.
Neither knowing whether to lead
or to follow.

My Happiness
My happiness occurs
sporadically
erratically
Not a constant
Not a linear path
Like dots scattered on graph paper
No rhyme

Camp
Summer is delirious days
we are packed
on a bus
for days of adventures
mountain biking
then swimming.
We will jump off cliffs
into rivers
flip-flopping through the air

How do I celebrate?
How do I cheer
with masses of people?
How do I celebrate freedom,
knowing only half of me was set free today?
