Frostbite

We need to change as people, as communities, as a nation, as Earth.
Humanity needs to change for more love, more peace, more acceptance.
We need to stay true to ourselves while being kind.

I'm crying and crying and tears are spilling over my laptop as I write
I can't write fast enough
My words are broken short and stubby
It doesn't matter because nothing I write can express my grief

I walk down the street 
Not knowing where I'm going
Searching for my friend

Oh wait
She's gone
She has been for a week

Gone from her place in this world
From her home
From me

But not from my heart

I just sit all day in alternate reality bored out of my mind all I do is read and thats not enough I havn't seen my best friend in four months and I see her tommorrow the only thing I do is sit I'm so bored-

It's a dream I know it's a dream but it still overtakes me
It swallows me whole and spits me back out
So maybe I'll call it a nightmare
It's more terrible than ever before 
Because it is so realistic

The sun is shining down upon us 
Rays hit our backs and the warmth is incredulous
We venture deeper into the woods
And deeper
And

It is hot now
I brought water 
It is gone now
