I should be studying.
I should be drinking overpriced coffee.
I should be stressing about finals.
I should be joking about grad trip.
I should be anywhere else.

I shouldn’t be quarantined. That wasn’t the plan.

I have ridden atop camels. I have learned Arabic. 

I celebrated Sinterklaas. I made a little dutch boy dress up as a princess; every morning play time. 

Home isn’t:  a place, consistent, geographical. 
My home isn’t  just a four letter word.

Home is: safe, happy, my passport, my family and friends. 
My home changes with the price of currency.
 

Getting over you has been ten times harder than I thought it would be. Frankly, I didn’t even know I had fallen for you. For the longest time I wished it untrue. Begging that it wasn’t real, denying it from every possible angle.

There was never a time where I would figure out the song before you. By the time I had figured out the genre you had the entire bass chord progression analysed. A constant competition, one that drove everyone else insane.
