You Say Pencil, I Say An Open Door

A pencil is a tool for writing and drawing.

Simply an object in which it can make marks on paper.

No, it must be more.

Nothing can have that little meaning.

Ah, I see.

Pencils don't just draw,

they glide, swirl, and fly across the paper,

allowing as much imagination to flow through the tip.

Pencils don't just write,

they help us create the most magnificent things.

Stories, poems, biographies, letters.

And even then, there is heart,

there is passion,

there is a feeling to the words,

that makes even the blueist of people become the happiest.

At some point,

your pencil will get dull.

It will not be able to write.

It will not be able to draw.

But you can still sharpen it,

healing it and making it useful once again.

If you make a mistake,

the eraser will make it disappear,

letting you have a second,

a third,

even a fourth chance.

Pencils allow you to do so much.

They are like open doors just waiting for you to step in and take the lead.

And still...

even if your bored of pencils...

the world will still provide...

pens.
