Sunlight Streamers

Lights in the night sky remind me of why I find life beautiful,
The sunlight streamers of the early morning remind me of why I find the world beautiful,
The scent of fresh-cut grass and running through the woods on a cool spring afternoon reminds me of why I find Vermont beautiful,
Cool brooks and butterflies remind me of why I find nature beautiful,
Her hair and laugh on the wind remind me of why I find friendship beautiful,
The wild-flower fields and fading sun remind me of why I find that the day ends beautiful,
The words and ink and paper and scent remind me of why books are beautiful,
But nothing is as beautiful as spending the day writing with my friends on the Green or swimming at the pool and giggling about the little things
Because,
Life and people,
Friendship and flowers,
Sun and stars,
Are beautiful,
And even when the rain shrouds over and the darkness invades,
The light and warmth and sun are beautiful,
The brisk mornings are beautiful,
So even when it gets cold and I'm left all alone,
I just need to remind myself of what's beautiful in life,
Like spring rain and bumble-bees and green mountains.
