Sudden Resolve

With urgency, Naoto makes a beeline to a sofa in the main hall, with her forgotten gel pen that she left inside her room and had to retrieve. Dragging her bare feet, clothed with, yet another, large gray sweater settling at her hips and some mid-thigh white shorts. She slouches in the sofa, getting to work, with correcting the work papers of her students. “I am so fed up with some of these kids I have to put up with,” Naoto ran a hand through her hair and allowed it all to slide to one side. She sat, criss crossed in the living room sofa and let out a breath, somewhat relieved, shoving the pile of corrected papers to the side. “Poor hands. Poor back. Poor eyes. Poor...what else? Oh, yeah. Poor me. But my back hurts. Lots.” She nonchalantly conveyed to herself, as she rolled up the sleeves of her sweater. The feeling of sticky perspiration already engulfing her body, being seated in that one position. She steadied her glasses on her face even more, and started marking away at the papers.
