The Selfless Teacher

The third-grade teacher who was always more than her job description demanded she be. 

She was the one who held you when you'd cry, 

supported you through academic challenges. 

Was always there with a listening ear. 

She made the effort 

to get to know the ins and outs of every one of her students. 

Home challenges, school challenges, random bad days. 

She was there for all of it. 

Not only as a teacher but also as a friend. 

She spent every day doing her best to make sure every student was happy when they went home at the end of the day. 

She always put her students at the top of her priority list.
