A scene from a book I'm writing

“AELIA, Come back inside!” I shouted. I chase after her running into the rain.

“AELIA!” “AELIA!” Worrying, I run deeper into the woods.

“AELIA, Please tell me where you are!” I screamed. I can’t stand it when she runs off and can’t see her. I’m about to yell again when I hear muffled crying from the north—running in that direction. Worried that something tragic has happened.

“AELIA, You are making me worry for your safety! ” I can hear the strain in my voice. Water pools in my eyes making it hard to see. The crying has gotten louder. Still running towards the north. I see her sitting on a log. Face in her hands. She is soaked.

“Aelia?” I asked, “ Aelia you must be freezing.” I take my coat off and put it around her shoulders. I go to sit next to her when she grabs my hand.

“Aelia?” I was confused. Why did she grab my hand? Aelia yanks me closer. She wraps her arms around my waist. I jumped in shock. We hate each other, yet just her touch makes my heart race. Cautiously put my arms around her back. We sit there for what feels like forever. Before either of us speaks.

   “Castor?” Aelia Whisper.

    “Yes, Aelia,” I whisper back.

“Would You have chosen me?” She asked.

“What do you mean?” She shakes her head and stops answering. I hold her tight savoring this moment because tomorrow we will be back to hating each other.
