The Ruins Were Once A Castle

The Ruins Were Once A Castle

All the people telling you to walk away,

They don't see what that bond once was.

The people on the outside see the fights.

They see the anger, and the spite.

But they never saw the good.

The times when that person was your world.

The person you went to with everything.

They didn't see that the current ruins were once a castle.

A broken relationship looks a lot different on the outside than it does the inside.

Because that relationship once was private and loving.

Now it's broken and public.

They call it loving a narcissist.

When you love somebody so deeply,

but you can't feel the love they claim to have for you.

You're raised being told they love you.

  • My Inner Beauty

    I was so undeserving,

And yet you were so persistent.

    I pushed, and you pulled.

    I cried; you held me.

    My heart was broken,

    you repaired it.

When I needed it most, you were there,

  • Living Vs. Surviving

Many kids know what it feels like to be able to live.

No fear, worries, or responsibilities in front of them.

From a young age, I was never one of those kids.

    I grew up too fast.
