Open your eyes, and see we are the same. 
We all have two eyes, ears, a nose, mouth, and brain.
Open your eyes and see what is in the words.
In every religion, writings, and sayings, 
Does it not say,
To love your neighbor?
In Christanity we say, God created us in his image, 
So how can we then say “you are not one of us” and drive them away?
White, black, lesbian, or gay.
The origin stories around the world, don’t say one is better than the other
But here is the thing,
Biases affect everyone and everything.

Open your eyes, and see we are the same.
Even if I’m from Vermont, and you are from Beijing.
Open your eyes and see what I see.
Why call each other names that are born from hate and history?
And instead see the world through the eyes of a child.
Unless he is taught hate, he is born with love beyond borders and race.

Open your eyes and see we are the same.
Free yourself from bias and the hatred of flame.
Don’t we all experience joy, sorrow, and pain?
I say, see the world as a human being.
We are all the same; White, black, lesbian, or gay.
