I peered behind myself for a second, eyeing Sebastian. Was it now that I was seeing him in his casual attire? Throughout this whole time, I just happened to see him nonchalantly leaning on the flamingo pink coated wall, in his white pressed button-down shirt tucked into his black ankle trousers, in the company of a leather belt and black oxfords. He stared at the screen of his mobile device, seeming so immersed. His pale skin, absorbing the light of the sun, with the addition of the device’s own illuminations made him appear... Vulnerable? Was that even the right word to use?

“Miss Wendy?” Isabella questioned, and I turned around to sight her with a concerning assertion of the face. “Are you finish with your selection?”

I stared at Isabella, in vague distraught. Coming to the realization that I wasn’t just looking at Sebastian... I was gawking at my best friend. I cringed, reality hitting me like a wrecking ball.

“Selia, your face is red, are you alright?” Isabella uses my first name and knocks me out of my almost truancy state. Clearly conveying the urgency in her voice.

“I-I’m fine,” I managed to choke out, after failing so many prior attempts, swallowing a lump in my throat. Subsequently, to my own revelation, Isabella embraces me out of nowhere and I was stunned into place.

“Whatever it may be, it’s alright now,” she whispers. Her voice was oddly calming to my galloping nerves, considering the fact that I didn’t like her too much.
