When your eyes meet mine?
Why does your smile fade
When my voice cascades?
How do you flow
Through the crowd?
How do you speak

Why are your eyes a sunset sky
When they still always make me cry?
Why is your soul like the stars
When mines just left with scars?
How are you still alive
When with every word, I die?
Every cold glare
Every unread text
I die in your loving arms.
Unknown is the world we live in
How deep is the ocean?
How big is the universe?
It's unknown
So why try to figure it out?
Why try to swim deeper than you can?
A broken vase is worthless
To anyone but me
When they see a mess,
I see beauty
Most will turn away
Brush it off as nothing
But I'll run up to it
Mend it if I can
For years when I would look at your face, I saw my future, my life, my whole world in your eyes, but today I for once just saw your face. The same lips that I had once longed to kiss, the same eyes that I would get lost in, yet I felt nothing.
