Look Deeper

We want to wait for this all to end.

We want to see where it ends up.

But sometimes what you want is not what you need.

Everyone is trying to keep their lives easy and simple,

and I don't see why not,

but why,

with every negative word that is said,

do we dig deeper into the sadness,

the worry,

that may be trapping us?

Sometimes, we all naturally want to go along with everyone else,

and sit back and wait.

But that will not get us anywhere.

If you are put down,

you have to do more than just lie in the dark.

And there is only one way to do so.

Not easy,

but not especially difficult.

Sometimes,

you have to look deeper into the darkness,

to discover the light.
