The man in the suit wasn’t okay. He was by all means, not okay. And he wasn’t going to pretend that he was. He had been shifting between the worlds far too much.
Ray climbed up the old rusty ladder that led him out of his underground protective tomb. He knew nothing of what awaited at the top of this ladder that led to a new land that he only knew from old children's rhymes.
At last, school is over. Finally I am released by these awful white walls and artificial light.

Dear Diary,
Today was strange. I met a man riding a mule. He was a queer looking sorta man, all sticks and bones and hair. He even had an eye-patch!
Lily gazed out the window of carriage. She had rarely been outside the Manor, so everything seemed new, even the flowers on the side of the road. Earnest was very boring. He had barely talked to her the whole carriage ride.
Matthew Bennet sat at the far corner of a bar, nursing a neat whiskey which had been in front of him for the better part of an hour. His eyes traced the rim of the glass, but his mind was elsewhere, calculating. Always calculating.
