When two oceans meet,
What do you think they say to each other?
For their entire lives they have raged on, side by side,
Never touching.
They wash up onto the same shores,
Share the same neighbors.
And yet they have never met.
On the day two oceans meet,
I think the sea will stand still.
The water will stretch into the horizon,
Reflecting the sky.
An endless all encompassing blue.
The kind of blue that fills your lungs with air,
To the point of drowning.
On the day two oceans meet,
They will realize they were never
A different sea to begin with.
And we will realize,
That all the oceans and seas in the world,
Cannot quench our thirst for answers.
We travel on waves of confusion,
To distant lands that were never ours to begin with.
We seek a type of peace that cannot be achieved on our earth.
So we turn to the stars,
To a universe that stretches beyond comprehension.
A never ending ocean of black.
A black so vacant and unknown that it sucks the air from your lungs,
Leaving you weightless.
When two universes meet,
What do you think they say to each other?
Maybe something,
or maybe nothing.
Nothing at all.
What do you think they say to each other?
For their entire lives they have raged on, side by side,
Never touching.

Share the same neighbors.
