Collecting Dust

I wonder

If inanimate objects sign up for jobs

Maybe heirlooms

Get the best jobs because they have something treasured,

Like Experience

Getting passed down from hand to hand

But I doubt this

Because

Some inanimate objects

Work full time

Collecting dust.

But still

We treasure them,

Empty boxes from grandmothers who passed

From hand to hand it travels

Collecting dust in the garage

We see it, wish we could say goodbye

But Mom always says

"No, that's from grandmother"

"No, that's an heirloom"

Or maybe

"No, we can't fire it, it's doing it's job,

Collecting dust!"

  • Am I young?

Well yes, I am still young

You can call me a kid, but I will never again be

The toddler I was, smiling at joyous things

That I no longer enjoy now that I'm older,

And I like older kid things.

  • Told You

    Hell yeah I told you

    Why didn't you believe me?

I knew that it would end like this

But you said 'wait just trust me'

I want to say I told you

    But Im starting to believe

    That maybe you were right

  • Not Sorry

    I'm not sorry

    Not sorry at all

    I don't have regrets

    You know what they say

Beter to love and lose than not love at all

    but i kind of disagree

because to love is to gamble

    You’re destined to pay
