Beautifully Tragic

Love is

Two songbirds 

Singing their lovely tune

Melodies intertwining 

Creating a magnificent symphony

But one’s voice is deteriorating

Yet every day

She continues to sing their song of chirps and tweets

Her voice hanging by a thread

Days are whisked away

Two songbirds 

Sing their lovely tune

But only one melody is audible

Out of the blue

There's rustling in the bushes below

With this impediment

Comes an arrow

Piercing the heart of the songbird

She tries to chirp for help

But she cannot speak

Her voice has been lost to their symphony.
