My mom took our flowers and out them out on the snow once they started wilting and I thought that the colors against the snow were really pretty. It was also funny to see flowers outside after getting several feet of snow!

She wanted amazing things
so she ran towards the sunset
thinking she could grasp the shining light in her hands
and hold it forever
forever.
She found herself on a cliff
The days I wake up
and fall asleep
and move through the world
tired and clumsy,
it is hard to know the truths
of what I am grateful for.
Those days,
I am grateful not for winter,
