I was gobsmacked when I saw this -- it's pure fantasy! Admittedly I've always been a sucker for space art (over the years I've made my fair share of collages set among the stars). But the slightly unfocused, once-upon-a-time appearance of the child -- her hair, her clothes -- set in contrast with the black yet sparkling backdrop, is striking. And though I know she is blowing bubble-planets, we can also see that she is creating and inflating her imagination, her dreams... Wonderful work!
This made me cry (in a good way). This is one of the most meaningful poems I’ve read in a while, the imagery and the way the words line up is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your art!
I like baking cookies because I find they are comforting in times of worry or dismay. I am a lover of bacon but sometimes I dislike how long the salty scent of bacon lingers and clings to every particle around. Maybe that's just me.
