Tiny Writes
I recently went to Puerto Rico over February break. From what I can tell a LOT of people went there as well, as you most likely know Puerto Rico is a territory of the U.S. Act 22 states that American citizens do not need to pay high taxes in Puerto Rico. This means that rich people who have a U.S. birth certificate buy up buildings, including people's homes and even schools. This has meant that thousands of native Puerto Ricans are displaced. I know! It's so awful that the USA can't just suck it up and be a country with 51 states. Or 52 - Washington, D.C. deserves to be a state too! They have no representatives, which is so crazily out of order (but not really, America is truly shattered glass) for a country that claims to be perfect.
Agreed. Puerto Rico is beautiful and filled with amazing people, so why shouldn’t we include them? One of the many problems of this world is inequality and lack of inclusivity.
