Scarry Night

What I'm realizing,

is that we,

humans,

want for nothing.

We can get practically anything.

Some of us can't,

but if we all had the money,

we would be able to get anything.

We want to wait for this all to end.

We want to see where it ends up.

But sometimes what you want is not what you need.

Everyone is trying to keep their lives easy and simple,

and I don't see why not,

but why,

We are going through tough times.
The toughest of times.
For some, it may seem easy.
No, this is not easy.
The spread of a virus,
will never be easy.
Easy to live through,
easy to change,
easy to forget.

If only I could reach a little farther,

I would be able to touch the moon.

If only I could reach a little farther,

my dreams would be fulfilled,

so quick,

so soon.

I want to walk on Mars,

You jump this way and that,

making it so that I have to chase you everywhere.

You stare at me with those huge, colorful eyes,

intimidating me,

daring me to make the next move.

We play games day after day,
