All Songs Never Sung
If you put these words to melody
would they suddenly be known?
my poems played across the world
to an audience that's grown?
I've no melody in mind
only scribbles on a page

Afterthoughts
Because this world is not good or evil
Not black or white
No halos or horns
This world is twisted and gray
And the afterlife is the same.

Pause
And the mountains stood up
and the trees did bloom
and color redefined itself
rivers cracked open their bleary eyes
and the ocean stretched her legs
the earth did sigh and sighed again

Humor Us
Funny is a crutch that I lean on
a masquerade mask that I put on
to hide from the world
'till my lies are unfurled
and it's clear that it's all just a con.

On Moths and Butterflies
You must never touch a butterfly
and fear its fragile wings
for if you touch a butterfly
what horrors your touch brings
The dust glitters as it falls
and the insect starts to wilt
