I am a voice
singing above the rest
drowning out the drone
of teachers
and students
My melody
rises to the top
of the cacophony
and heads turn
I do not notice
my eyes are shut tight
blocking out the world

you can't have my book
and you can't come in my room

It is like a great beast
breathing slowly

sweeping whole cities
into its watery depths

If only I could remove that veil

I dreamed of falling

plummeting
