What do you do
when the world stands still?
What do you do
when life turns strange?
What do you do 
when you're suddenly trapped
and you can't escape
the times you live in now?

Well something brand new

He is a mountain
silent
strong 
unmoving

He is rarely shaken
but one thing 
breaks his calm

She is a river
noisy
fluid
constantly moving

She will erode him
she is the one

I've always thought 
that I would be a swan
I'm built like one
my long neck
and wide wingspan
and my grace
my ever-present dance

I am a swan
until the sun goes down
and then I emerge
from the lake

When I lay on the ground
looking up at the sky
I feel like I will fall
into an endless blue abyss 
and land on the bottom of a cloud

When I spin around and around
arms outstretched
the earth spins with me

If not now, when?
A proclamation targeting the procrastinators
who would wait as long as possible
to do what is to be done.
This proclamation, written on a sign,
tells us to suck it up and start that thing
