One,
tender, small hands
reaching for the bottle of milk,
the contents inside sloshing around.
Two,
dragging a faded stuffed bunny
around the kitchen’s island,
one… more… step…
Three,

the way he licks his paw,
his white coat of fur draped over
the velvet carpet,
the way his watery eyes shine,
when rooted on the ground

we collapsed onto the couch,

savored the sourness prickling in our mouths,
and laughed together for hours.

Among the deathly pale hills

To Wander Within Your Reach
Every day is new,
All because of you.
You brought me this world,
And were there for every journey,
Every step and every chapter,

tired
Like stress
Tiredness consumes me
It chokes me in not a painful way
but a worn way
Like a vest
so close
to falling apart
but still has to survive
the following day
Like a foot

Moon
Magnificent beams glow around the beautiful ball of light floating in the night sky
Orbiting earth, all day and night, visiting every inch of the world
