the night rules this land,
forever.
most creatures die of fright and want of light,
but not the girl.

the name the darkness gave her: Ciaran.

the wind whispers, "child of darkness, Ciaran her name,"

a world without time
without measure of movement.

what does it mean?

nothing to me.

for the things I care about already obey no boundaries of time,
and so, affect me it does not.

For that which I care are:

sometimes i stumble across posts on the internet
about books or other things I love,
and i think i would be good friends with whoever wrote them

how i would hate to be cursed with immortality.

i would exist almost outside of time,
watching my friends and everyone i love slowly die.

The moon: Crescent, Quarter, Gibbus, Full. Gibbus, Quarter, Crescent, New.

Often it is not understood,
just how alive the world is.

You look out the window, see the still trees, and you think,

"Sure, they're alive, but not like me. They don't move, think or see."
