There was a lovestruck girl obsessively drawing hearts on her note card
“look at past you.”
Sincere love flowed from her fingertips.
She believed she was loved.
“Do you think she's dumb?”
Though that time has died
and I cringe inside,
no,
naive, maybe,
but there's things I now lack
and I wish I could go back.
My leisure was over
quicker than expected.
Now I'm back to doing homework
but keep getting distracted.
Another glance at the clock
Another 30 minutes gone.
They are the flow
from which all grow.
Every water molecule,
all very miniscule,
pass through the membrane
with no strain.
In and out,
up and down,
side to side
People warned me,
turned against me,
said I was a fool.
