We just don't need you

I don’t get

Why you control

Our bodies

When you don’t have

The capability

To understand what it’s like

To be a women

When you aren’t

A women

When it’s a women's life or death

You choose death

Nobody is a parent unless they feel ready

When it’s happiness or pressure

You choose pressure

For what?

Do you wanna carry

Something that could

End your life

When it barely

Is anything

Yet you want us

To keep going

So you can be in control

Go ahead and try to be

A women

Try to know that you

Are going to die

Because of a decision

That stops

Healthcare

You’re going to die

Because of someone’s choice

That has nothing to do with them

You will be tied down

With something you may not want

So stop

Banning what we need

Because you’re not a women

And you will never understand

What it’s like to be us

We are stronger then you

Because you put down

The roadblocks

But we keep going

And do more then just living

We thrive

In whatever environment

But you will need to stop

Hurting us

Because thriving is hard

And you need us

We just don’t need you

  • Silver arms

    Silver arms

    Reaching up

    Delicate

    And yet bearing

    Weight

    A big middle

    Rough

    Covered in patterned skin

    Big enough

    That my arms don't

    Wrap around

    The course outside

  • The moon

Bathing me in a ghoulish glow

    Brightening the dark

    Staring at me

    Barely disturbed

    All the way up there

    Floating among

    The stars

    Simply being

Bathing me in a ghoulish glow

    I love the moon
